I wear MBTs because of a bad hammer toe problem. This style reduces pain and discomfort 100%. Would recommend them to anyone. Very comforatable. Takes away the need for surgery.

It takes a while to get used to wearing it and balancing. First few days, my leg muscles (calf and back of the thighs) were stiff and really worked up. It definitely exercises those part of your leg. The shoes are very comfortable because you have almost 2 inches of cushioning. Once you get used to it, even running is easy with these MBTs. Once thing you have to get used to is balancing. Because the sole is curved, you constantly need to keep your balance.

My orthopedist recommended I try this line of shoes if I could endure the price. When I found them on sale, I jumped. [...]I noticed some relief in my first few steps. Within two weeks of regular wearing, I noticed a nearly complete reduction of the pain from my bruised ankle bone and I am looking forward to giving it this opportunity to heal. These will be my only walking shoes for a two week bicycling trip and I will monitor how well they wear. If they hold up, I may put my feet MBT's exclusively.

I'm all about MBTs because they help my back out tremendously. I wasn't too keen on the aesthetics of this particular style though, so I returned them. [...] Perhaps they'll suit you better than they did me!

These are truly the best shoes made. I don't work for this company, but I never want to wear any of my other shoes. I have a closet full of shoes and I always prefer the MBT Gil Gil for comfort & style. When they wear out I just purchase another pair. (these are my 5Th) Seems like they are discontinuing this style so I might have to try something different, but I'm sure it will be an MBT. Ralph

I am writing about my experiences with MBT footwear and my purchases from footwear etc. company. A little over a year ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. One of the side affects of Parkinson's and treatment thereof, is stiffness in your legs. As a child I would walk on my toes, and I have discovered that I sleep with my toes curl, pointing down. So after I would wake up I would have pain in the Achilles tendon. I tried my own athletic shoes to relieve the discomfort of stretching my tendon, but, that did not work. I then tried my hiking shoes, and still no relief. I then purchased a pair of patrol type walk boots, thinking that the boot would be the solution. No go. I then saw some MBT shoes in a store. They were some on sale. I tried it on and almost immediately it seemed to work. The discomfort to my tendon was essentially gone. Before my Parkinsons disease developed, I wore Farragamo and Allen Edmonds. Now I wear the MBT shoe every day. A extra bonus of the MBT shoe is that it has the particular ability to straighten your back and legs, and this has certainly helped my posture and gait when walking. What an additional bonus. [...]

In addition to being an excellent, general, walking shoe they are beneficial for plantar faciaitis and knee and back problems. MBTs are my shoes of choice; have had two pair resoled already. Also great for posture.

These shoes were a birthday gift for my husband. He will have to wait for warmer weather to wear these! He is hoping he will enjoy wearing these sandals.
