Have suffered from long-time arch problems and have tried just about everything. Heard about MBTs several years ago, but didn't believe the hype (or the price). I'm on my feet and on the go all day long. Tried these shoes on at a store after seeing them online. The website photo doesn't do them justice. They're not big and clunky as I'd expected. Found them on sale at Footwear, etc. and made the purchase. So glad I did. Took about 10 mins. to get used to walking in them. My arch problems have been solved, my back feels better and I can definitely feel my legs and glutes getting a bit of a workout. Guess it wasn't all hype after all. Will be investing in continued foot health with more MBTs.

Do yourself a favor and follow the directions on how to break in this shoe. The leather is very good but very stiff. I used leather softener and leather stretch which helped. Due to the stiffness you can get blisters if you are not carefull. BUT once they are broken in you'll never want to be without them. All my other shoes make my back and knees hurt. There was some muscle pain breaking these in but as I said follow the directions and you'll Love these shoes.

I have very touchy feet. Didn't used to be that way, but age has its ways... However, the style would be just as appropriate for someone under 40. These are my second pair of rocker sole shoes, and they are a lot more stylish but just as comfortable as the first pair. Perfect for a lot of city walking, travel and casual outings. These are really beautiful looking and are not as clunky as others I have seen. Quality workmanship. My office is somewhat formal so I can wear these only on casual Friday. Don't worry about getting used to walking in them. Just give yourself a very short while with them. Easy--like walking on clouds.

The changa is a stylish shoe, love the lower sole while still getting all the toning. For those of us who cannot wear all the styles in the shoe stores at least we know we have MBT, which this company is bringing in some very nice styles. The changa is a very comfortable shoe with no breaking in. I just love these shoes. [...]

i got so many compliments on these shoes. they are very comfortable. but my only mistake is that i didn't order half sized higher than my usual size so it was a bit snug and needs to be broken in. but it is a great shoe with a great look.

This was my first pair of MBTs. I was disappointed in this particular style. The double set of buckles is a hard to get opened and closed and you just can't set them and slip your foot in. The all leather upper after about an hour makes your foot really hot, even with the exposed top of your foot. And it's stiff. They felt good at first but after an hour the edge of the shoe started rubbing uncomfortably against my big toe joint. I really liked how they looked but this pair didn't work out for me. I got another style and love them so much I had my husband get a pair also. Different styles fit differently so if you can get to a regular store, try then on there. This style of mary janes seemed true to size whereas other styles ran a half size smaller. These are fantastic shoes and worth the extra cost!

very much like these shoes. the rolling motion for walking feels very natural and, interestingly, makes stiff "normal" shoes feel awkward. you definitely get the impression of 'active' walking and standing in these. no need to buy those balance pods they sell in exercise stores. :) they actually make walking fun! you kinda spring along with verve in your step. they can dress up decently to a business casual or down with every day clothes. my one real complaint is that the toe box has very little verticle room, so i cannot wiggle my toes up and down, which feels pretty restrictive. other things to consider: they are very stiff leather. the sole is very tall, which makes pants look like they are hemmed short. they are heavy (they feel very light when walking, but if you had to pack and carry them on a trip or something, they would add up fast). some people with morton's neuroma/toe problems experience pain walking in mbt's from the added push off. some reports of the special soft heel (compression sensor) in the newer generations of mbt's raidly degenerating - i've seen no evidence of this yet, and certainly hope it not to be true considering the expense!
