I have neuropathy and plantar fasciitis in both feet -- a double whammy! My Podiatrist had $300 custom orthotics made for me, but I still walked with a very painful limp. Then a friend who has a similar foot problem told me about MBT shoes. THEY ARE TERRIFIC!! I can be on my feet all day long and walk without a limp! These products make such a tremendous difference with my patients that I have had more refferals for this shoe than ever before due to the fact of a patient suffering from a heel spur or a skin graft in the heel or even a calcaneous fracture just immediately gives the patient releif. These MBT boots are ready to wear right out of the box.I already had another pair of casual MBT's so there was no break-in for me,but newbies might want to wear them a couple of hours around the house before attempting to go all day.The cushioning effect of the sole is very unique,and they work very nicely for me with my bad knees.i'm on my feet for 12 hours every day,and these shoes handle the punishment very nicely.

These are the best casual, medium-duty boots I have ever owned for hiking on trails, ice/snow, hills. My wife and I can hike 10 miles and our feet feel like we have hiked about 2 or 3 maybe. I was initially concerned whether they would grip ice/snow when walking downhill and was pleasantly surprised to find that they grip better than my heavy-duty flat hiking boots.
