Don't be fooled by Skechers Women's Shape-ups Walking Shoe as I could only tell in my ankles that I was "working" on toning. With the MBT, there were significant changes in my legs, and according to my Wii Fit, my posture and balance improved while wearing the MBTs, but not with the Skechers brand. If you want toning and posture, then try Yoga or get a pair of MBTs. The BaraBara suede is playful and compliments any casual to sport wear.

I bought these along with another pair and ordered a half size larger as recommended. I don't like them as well as the other pair (I LOVE my other MBTs) because they feel slightly too small and after I wear them a while, they are uncomfortable. I am disappointed because I really like the look of them and they feel great when I first put them on, but they don't seem to conform to my foot like the others. Unfortunately, I am not able to wear them all day as I had planned. I will buy MBTs again, but if they don't feel right when I put them on for the first time, I will exchange them.

As a working mom with 2 young kids, I basically have no time to excercise daily. so I tried on the MBT shoes to make every step of walking as excercise. I love it! It's comfortable and makes me straighten up my back while walking. There was one time I had to stand on my train home for an hour and my feet didn't feel tired, or swollen at all. Highly recommended!

WALKING A LOT IN THOSE SHOES

I bought this shoe for my 47 yr old boyfriend. He used to complain of back, knee and foot pain for years. He stopped complaining and is so happy these shoes eliminate those problems. They cost more, but it's worth it to keep him from becoming a grump. Better than relationship therapy over his staying home and not wanting to engage in activity over the same complaints. No more excuses, he walks with me now and is in a better mood.

I have worn MBT shoes for the past 3 years, on a daily basis. I am a Breast Cancer 3Day walker, training for the 60 mile walk continuously. I also wear these to work each day, as I walk alot on my job. You cannot go wrong with these shoes. I have had numerous foot surgeries, and this brand of shoes, because of the design, keeps me off of the areas of my feet that I have had so many problems with. When you find your "fit" in this brand, you absolutely cannot go wrong!

Ease into these. I was hoping to wear them everyday/allday, but found them to be too intense. Maybe in time my body will adjust. Because my feet never feel at rest in these shoes, and because the shoes do such a good job activating weaker muscles (hip, upper back), I was very sore after wearing them just a couple hours every day for a week. I got them because I have chronic back pain flare-ups caused by old injurious, but I started to wonder if they would make me feel worse, as I had more pain wearing them the first week. My PT told me to back off to 1/2 hr/day. She thinks they will be helpful to me, but in small doses. The fit is comfortable. However I also find them to be heavy and awkward. I don't yet feel confident chasing my toddler in them, and when sitting, I don't feel like I can cross my legs because the weight of the shoes bears down and makes that position uncomfortable. I've been told we should avoid crossing our legs anyway, but the point is, they definitely take some getting used to. They are totally different from any other shoe. I would like to say they are the magic bullet for back pain, as I was hoping to experience dramatic satisfaction, based on other reviews. But they're not. I'm really glad I bought them on sale (almost [$]off). Oh, and I get weird looks from strangers when I wear them - NO ONE has told me they look cool. ;)

I have been diagnosed with a chronic non-union sesamiod fracture. That means the sesamoid bone is never going to heal. I am trying to avoid having surgery so it's of the utmost importance to have comfortable shoes that keep weight off of the ball of my foot. These MBT's are a great choice for work and casual wear. They do take a little getting used to but worth it.

These are my third pair of MBT's. I have gotten comments from my co-worker's that they can't believe they are MBT's because they are so stylish. I work in an Operating Room and since I started there last Fall 10 or more of my co-workers have bought MBT's because of feet and back problems. Bottom line if I did not wear my MBT's at work I could not work! A co-worker is so happy with their shoes they put a picture of an MBT shoe on our "Happy Board".

Best looking MBT's I have seen. This is my second pair of MBT's. They are all I wear now. Expensive but worth it for the comfort. I had to return a pair of MBT Mary Janes as they were too big in the heel. I find the lace up MBT's can be adjusted better to fit. The smoke brown suede is very pretty. Order up 1/2 size.
