I basically use these while on rotations at the hospital. It was a toss up between Dansko's and Merrell's as both were reputed to be the best shoes to wear. Compared to the Dansko's they are not as rock hard, but the Dansko's become more comfortable after long use. Overall I feel I got a good deal for the Merrell's at half the price of comparable Dansko's. If you're on a budget and plan to be standing 12+ hrs, then these are the shoes for you. They are stylish and professional looking so you wont have to worry about switching shoes
