I started out with the RXP 3000 for excercising; elliptical and tread etc as I'm not a runner. They were more of a mesh and breathed more than the 3060's but are out of production. I still have my 3000's even though they are a little long in the tooth. I probably put 10 miles on them this past week at Disney world and another 10 on a pair of the 3060's. Ecco's are very hard to wear out. I laso wear Ecco's for dress for same reasons. These 3060's are more a closed weave but still have the same construction - the extra plate on the bottom. I also have a pair of 3050's which are even more closed. They were sold as winter running shoes. I stocked up on the 3060's because those like the original 3000's keep my shin splints while walking to a minimum. I don't get all tha pronate stuff but this series of shoes minimize my back and shin issues while excercizing. Therefore I am sold on them and purchased three pair to keep me in them for a long time.
