I had previously owned the Ecco Track II and wore it out, then couldn't find its replacement for what seemed like forever. I was delighted to find the Track IV and am as happy with it as I was with the Track II. I don't actually wear these for hiking as such. I wear them most days to work. I live in a city and commute, and walk about 2 miles every day from the train station to my office. These are perfect for that sort of "urban walking," in all kinds of weather (including in winter, in snow). They're not so heavy and insulated that they couldn't be worn in summer. These are by far my favorite shoes. By far.
